WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN LOVE GOES SOUR?
We are in the month of love and lots of people would be celebrating love with their boo and getting all merry.
Some people are in love and truly happy. Some are just patching it because being alone to them is more miserable than being in an unhealthy relationship.
Are you patching you Relationship and Marriage?
Do you know that it has run its course but you are holding on with every bit in you because you think that this is it for you. After all all men are the same or which woman would be different from the one you have right now?
This mentality alone is what has made lot of held on to Dysfunctional Relationships until we enter marriage and get stuck because we know that we should have ended that relationship long before marriage.
I was like that right before I got married. I knew straight up that there were signs that I may not be able to cope with but I went forward because I believed “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE”. That was the blindest faith anyone could ever have as God cannot be mocked!! You don’t build a house with faulty cement or sand or bricks. You find the right raw materials before you can get a great product.
So, lots of us pick the wrong people for us and expect a miracle to happen. We picked garri but we want to make pounded yam with it. It can’t happen, sweetie. You have got to go back to pick yam and pound it so that it forms pounded yam.
Even in Marriage.
Some times, you have to end that marriage and start another one with the same person so that you can get it right once and for all because the foundation for the marriage was very faulty.
“A lot of us would be married more than once in our lifetime to the same person” - Esther Perrel.
So, what do you do when love goes sour??
Do you wait while you keep praying and fasting?
Do you walk away tired and go lick your wounds somewhere?
Do you dismantle what you have to rebuild another better one that can last for a lifetime?
Do you just accept your fate and go on with the flow? After all, no be only you na?? - Lara kudayisi
